The Graduate Program in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics (PBPG) will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on Thursday and Friday, June 7-8 2018.
The Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics (PBPG) program at the University of Wisconsin is 50 years old! During this tenure, our program has awarded more than 330 PhD and 120 MS terminal degrees, and our graduates continue to have substantial impacts on plant improvement worldwide. To celebrate this milestone, we will have an anniversary celebration on June 7-8, 2018, with a Research Symposium at which invited speakers will reflect upon contributions of the PBPG program and future prospects for plant improvement. A dinner on Thursday and a lunch on Friday will provide additional opportunities to interact with alumni, colleagues, students, and current and emeritus faculty. We sincerely invite you to return to Madison to join us in celebration of this special event.
